Carole Winters received a B.A. in fine arts with a concentration in printmaking from Morehead State University in eastern Kentucky.
She began her career in graphics designing back stage passes for concerts and went on to work as a designer, art director, and associate publisher at various publishing companies in Cincinnati.
She now enjoys being self-employed.
Carole is interested in etching, intaglio, mezzotint, and chine-collé using non-toxic methods. Her newest work is a suite of prints entitled Amsterdam. These etchings are based on experiences in that city and explore the evolution of written communication (letters, email, the internet), love, loss, reconciliation, and the passage of time.
